Florist / VISUAL MERCHANDISER
Florist required for delivery and flower stand merchandising - retail outlets in Cotswolds.

This role is for someone practical, self-motivated and confident, who will enjoy making the flower stands look wonderful, using merchandising skills focused on the colour and design of the bouquets, bunches and planted gifts.

We are looking for candidates who combine the visual and practical skills of a great florist with the essential personal qualities of reliability, efficiency, attention to detail, and a methodical approach to tasks.
Your time will split between the workshop making up flower bunches, bouquets and wraps, and delivering and servicing our retail outlets.
Reliability and full availability before key dates (Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Easter and Christmas) is essential: flowers are delivered overnight before delivery days and must go out on time.
You will have a clean driving licence and be a confident driver with ideally experience of driving a long wheelbase van.
Job description
We have one position available for immediate start.
The role supports the company in all aspects of preparing and producing flowers for sale, with the assistance of other members of staff. This involves everything from flower conditioning and maintaining a clean and disciplined workspace, to creating and delivering our flower designs.
Duties include:
Responsibility for preparing and stocking flower stands in our retail outlets
Allocating stock to different outlets
Methodical packing of the delivery van & driving to shop locations
Quality control and replacement of old stock
Making the flower stands look beautiful
The highest standards of customer service, friendliness and good humour at all times
Creating beautiful hand-tied bouquets
Cleaning and keeping the workshop tidy
Other essential criteria:
Full clean driving license required
Experience and confidence driving long wheel-base van
Numeracy and computer skills
Your day starts and ends at our workshop in a converted barn in the centre of Bidford on Avon.
Good employment conditions, with salary according to aptitude and experience.
Part-time hours: 16+ hours per week
The role will be at least 2 days a week - split between workshop and delivering - as well providing holiday cover when appropriate. Your main pattern will be Normal Week below, but holiday cover and other shift patterns will regularly be required:
Normal Week - Tuesday Delivering, Wednesday AM in Workshop, Wednesday PM Delivering
Alternative Example - Tuesday Workshop, Wednesday Workshop, Thursday Delivering
We anticipate increased hours as the business grows over the next 3 to 6 months.
